How NATURO compares with Jim’s Cleaning, Absolute Domestics, Houseproud, Maid2Match and Airtasker

Book a clean in Geelong or Port Macquarie and these are the names you will meet: two franchise networks, an agency, an online booking service, a gig marketplace, and us. They are genuinely different arrangements — who employs the cleaner, who checks them, who you pay — and the differences matter most when the clean is funded, or when someone vulnerable is home. Every line below is taken from each company’s own website and linked, including the lines where we come off worse.

Verified from each company’s public website on 30 October 2026.

Where a company does not publish something, the table says “not stated” — not “no”. A business can do more than its website says. If you work at one of these companies and a line is out of date, email admin@naturogroup.com.au and we will correct it.

What this adds up to

Employed, not arranged

The cleaner in your home is on our payroll, trained by us and covered by our insurance. There is no third party to chase if something goes wrong, and no cleaner being paid per job to move faster than the work allows.

Screened for funded work

Every cleaner holds a National Police Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check. That is the standard for working with NDIS participants and DVA clients, and we hold it for every household, not only the funded ones.

Local teams, both regions

House cleaning in Geelong covers Greater Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast; house cleaners in Port Macquarie cover the Hastings. Rostered locally, which is why you see the same faces rather than whoever was free.

Where we are behind

We are not a registered NDIS provider, so NDIA-managed funding cannot be used with us — Jim’s Cleaning is registered and can take it. And our published figures are estimates rather than a fixed price list, because the price depends on the home.

Questions people ask
when comparing cleaners

Does NATURO GROUP employ its cleaners or use contractors?
Employees. Every NATURO cleaner is employed — permanent part-time, full-time or casual — with superannuation, paid training and paid travel between jobs. We do not use ABN, contractor or gig arrangements. Absolute Domestics works with independent cleaners who set their own rates, Airtasker is a marketplace of independent Taskers, and Jim’s Cleaning and Houseproud are franchise networks where the franchisee or their staff clean your home.
Which cleaning companies do NDIS Worker Screening Checks?
NATURO GROUP completes a National Police Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check for every cleaner, because the work includes NDIS and DVA clients. Of the five services compared here, none state that they carry out NDIS Worker Screening Checks: Jim’s Cleaning, Absolute Domestics, Maid2Match and Airtasker do not mention it, and Houseproud says only that staff have “verified the necessary credentials”. A police check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check are different checks.
Can I use NDIS funding for cleaning with NATURO GROUP?
Yes, if you are plan-managed or self-managed. We invoice your plan manager directly, or give you a receipt if you self-manage. We are not a registered NDIS provider, so NDIA-managed (agency-managed) funding cannot be used with us — Jim’s Cleaning is a registered provider and can take that funding.
Who supplies the cleaning products?
NATURO GROUP supplies all products and equipment on every visit, using eco-friendly, non-toxic products that are safe around children and pets. Maid2Match cleaners bring their own. Houseproud states professional-grade equipment and eco-friendly products. Jim’s states access to cleaning equipment and sells its own product range. Absolute Domestics does not state it. On Airtasker it is set job by job — some listings require you to supply everything.
How much does house cleaning cost in Geelong or Port Macquarie?
NATURO GROUP publishes estimates rather than a fixed price list: a regular flat-rate clean of a 3-bedroom house in Geelong runs $153–$220 a visit, with cost guides for Geelong and Port Macquarie. They are ranges, not a quote — call 1300 876 472 and we price your actual home the same day in business hours. From the others: Jim’s Cleaning from $149 for a 3-bedroom single-storey home, Absolute Domestics from $82 for two hours varying by suburb, Airtasker $149–$260 with a $200 median, and Maid2Match gives an instant price online. Houseproud quotes only.
Who cleans in both Geelong and Port Macquarie?
NATURO GROUP has local teams in both: Greater Geelong, the Bellarine and the Surf Coast, and Port Macquarie and the Hastings. The same team cleans for private households, NDIS and DVA participants, aged care clients and insurance work in each area.
