How Much Does NDIS Cleaning Cost in Geelong? [2026-27 Rates]

By Naturo Group 6 min read

NDIS cleaning is paid hourly against a national price limit, not quoted like a private clean. For 2026-27 that limit is $60.10 per hour, and it rises to $64.59 from 1 December 2026. This guide explains what that means for a Geelong participant, what the funding covers, and what you can and cannot claim.

The NDIS price limit for cleaning in 2026-27

Household cleaning sits under Core Supports — Assistance with Daily Life, as line item 01_020_0120_1_1, House Cleaning and Other Household Activities. The NDIA caps what a provider may charge per hour:

  • House Cleaning and Other Household Activities (01_020_0120_1_1) — $60.10 per hour now, $64.59 from 1 December 2026
  • House or Yard Maintenance (01_019_0120_1_1) — $59.01 per hour now, $63.42 from 1 December 2026
  • Assistance with Personal Domestic Activities (01_004_0107_1_1) — $61.16 per hour now, $65.73 from 1 December 2026
  • Remote and very remote areas carry higher limits; Geelong is neither, so the national rate applies

The December increase follows the Fair Work Commission’s decision on wages under Schedule E of the SCHADS award. It is an increase to the cap, not an automatic price rise — providers may charge up to the limit, not more.

What you actually pay

Nothing, if the support is in your plan and the hours are available. NDIS cleaning is drawn from your Core Supports budget rather than paid out of pocket, which is the main difference from a private clean. What matters is not the hourly figure but how many hours your plan funds.

  • A two-hour fortnightly clean at $60.10 draws about $3,125 a year from Core Supports
  • A three-hour fortnightly clean draws about $4,690 a year
  • Weekly two-hour cleans draw about $6,250 a year
  • From 1 December 2026 each of those rises by roughly 7.5% at the new cap

Core Supports funding is flexible, so cleaning hours compete with your other daily-life supports. If the hours are not there, a plan review or a reallocation within Core Supports is the conversation to have with your support coordinator.

What cleaning the funding covers

Routine household cleaning you cannot do yourself because of your disability. In practice that is the same work as a regular clean: kitchen, bathrooms, floors, dusting, surfaces, bins and a change of linen.

  • Covered: regular household cleaning, laundry, changing bedding, tidying and basic kitchen work
  • Covered on assessment: one-off deep cleans where a home has become unmanageable
  • Not covered: cleaning for other members of the household who could do it themselves
  • Not covered: garden work, repairs and maintenance — those sit under a different line item
  • Not covered: end-of-lease and bond cleans, which the NDIS treats as a tenancy cost

How it is claimed, and who can use us

NATURO GROUP is not a registered NDIS provider. That matters for how you are funded, so here it is plainly:

  • Plan-managed: we invoice your plan manager directly, with the line item and hours itemised. You pay nothing
  • Self-managed: we invoice you, you claim it back through the myplace portal, and we give you a compliant receipt
  • Agency-managed (NDIA-managed): cannot be used with us — that funding may only go to registered providers

NDIS cleaning in Geelong

We support participants across Greater Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast — Newtown, Highton, Belmont, Geelong West, Lara, Leopold, Ocean Grove, Torquay and Barwon Heads among them. Every cleaner holds a National Police Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check, and we roster the same team to the same homes, because a familiar face matters more in this work than in any other kind of cleaning.

How much does NDIS cleaning cost per hour in Geelong?

The national price limit is $60.10 per hour for House Cleaning and Other Household Activities (line item 01_020_0120_1_1), rising to $64.59 per hour from 1 December 2026. The limit is national, so it is the same in Geelong as anywhere outside remote areas. It is a cap rather than a set price — a provider may charge up to it.

Do I pay anything out of pocket?

No, where the support is funded in your plan. NDIS cleaning is drawn from your Core Supports budget. You would only pay privately if you wanted hours beyond what your plan funds.

Can I use NDIS funding for an end-of-lease clean?

No. The NDIS treats bond and end-of-lease cleaning as a tenancy cost rather than a disability support, so it is not claimable. We do these cleans privately, quoted the usual way.

Is NATURO GROUP a registered NDIS provider?

No, and we say so plainly. We work with plan-managed and self-managed participants, which covers most people. Agency-managed (NDIA-managed) funding can only be spent with registered providers, so it cannot be used with us.

Why is the rate going up in December 2026?

The NDIA is lifting four support-item limits following the Fair Work Commission’s decision to increase wages under Schedule E of the SCHADS award. House cleaning moves from $60.10 to $64.59 per hour at the national rate from 1 December 2026.
